The communications market and industry in China have been developing at an astonishing speed. Driven by huge market forces and enabled by the large available pool of resources, technology capacity in China no doubt will continue to develop and make China a leading technology player in the world. In this session, we will invite several speakers from China, who are familiar with the Chinese technology landscape and understand the unique market factors in China as well as the "home-grown" technologies and solutions.

Kai Miao, Intel IT Research, China:
Biography:
Kai X. Miao is currently the local manager of Information Technology Research at Intel for Asia region. Before his current position, he was the lead solutions architect at Intel for North America Region and responsible for end-to-end converged communication architectures and technical engagements with service providers in North America. He led the engagements and development of many key Intel-based solution architectures. Kai has held various technical, marketing, and management positions in several different divisions within Intel. Kai X. Miao received his MS and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Cincinnati and BS degree in Communications from Northern (Beijing) Jiaotong University. He has published a number of journal and conference papers, is an author of two published books, and a holder of a number of US patents. |
